Since their doors opened in 2014, Escapology has grown to become the world’s biggest escape game franchise - with 73 venues opened across the world, including key locations like Las Vegas and Orlando. During our time at mobedia, both adam+gary worked closely with the team at Escapology on a wide variety of projects which are still seen by players all over the world today. With games that covered the Wild West, global viruses (not that one), cursed temples, aircraft, submarines and Scottish Castles, every project gave us a chance to have some fun with the creative, and set the players up for the 60-minutes that followed! We also created all the in-game countdowns, theming them so they fit seamlessly within the rooms. In 2019, a unique opportunity arose with the premiere of the Hollywood film ‘Escape Room’. We created a cinema advert that ran across the film showings in cinemas all over the USA, each one personalised for the local Escapology venue.
In-game Assets
We also created in-game assets to further immerse the players. This is a great example of our assets at-work.This game is set on the Orient Express, and a pair of TV screens were installed as part of the set. This allowed us to create an hour-long snowcapped journey through the Alps (with a few more surprises…). You need to visit an Escapology venue to see them all in action.
